I picked up a Laurona SBS 12 guage about a year or so ago for dove/quail hunting.
Its marked
'Sears Roebuck and Co Chicago Ill
Laurona EIBAR (Espana)'
and then the other barrel
'Made in Spain
Mod 153 512350 12-guage 2 3/4'
Its hand checkered and hand engraved, or at least it appears to be hand-done. It doesnt have any blemishes in the engraving, but you can see that its a little shaky in some areas, and the checkering sometimes goes outside the lines a bit.. Usually what you would see in a hand done piece.
I bought it unfired for $300 from a gun show, and its been a great shotty since then. The triggers are nice and clean.. it has a full choke on the left and modified on the right. Bluing is perfect and the only blemishes are a couple dings on the stock, and the poly has come loose in a small spot on the forestock.
Im looking for any info I can find on the gun. Ill get a camera here in a bit and post some pics.
Thanks

My AyA is Marked differently than Skeetx's. It does not have J.C. Higgins at all, just 'Sears Roebuck and Co. Made in Spain' and 'Model 437512371 12GA 2 3/4' shell LT-F/RT-M' all on the left barrel, nothing on the rib, and 'AyA-Aguerrie & Aranzabal-Made in Spain' on the right. The number shoutd read 13-03-Serial number-date number-12-76. This breaks down as 13 - Lanber makers code. 03 - Type of firearm in this case a shotgun. Serial number - pretty obvious. Date number - last two digits of date of manufacture i.e 98=19,00=20 etc. 12 - 12 Gauge. Les triplettes de belleville torrent en. 76 - Length of chamber in this case 76mm (3inch). 8738 sound card driver.
I'm selling my Laurona Eibar O/U, 12 & 20ga. I purchased it in 1978/80 in Colorado. It has been hunted some but has been mostly a safe queen. Used 12ga barrel's for pheasant, turkey, dove & quail plus a few rounds of trap & sporting clays. Haven't used the 20's much but have been used for a few rabbits or just goofing around with my son.
It's chambered for 3', 28' barrels, fixed choke's (full & mod on both sets). Double triggers, fire both barrels in reverse order. Extractors no ejectors. Locks up nice & solid. I can't determine exact date of manufacture, I'd guess from stamps & markings anywhere from 50's to late 70's. The serial numbers all match and choke's are also stamped on barrel.
$775
